The Boxer’s Regimen For Weight Loss

Do you have a problem on how to get in shape? Then learn the boxer’s regimen. A boxer is a perfect example of the human specie that inspires us on how to get in shape. You must have heard of boxers who struggle in reducing their weights to comply on weigh-in time which is usually scheduled one-and-a-half days before their fights. Discover their methods and yet they don’t have references on “How I lose my weight” books. The boxer simply runs, shadow-boxes, hits the punching bags, plus does all kinds of body movements and stretchings. After two months of training, they lose 10 to 15 pounds! It’s quite a pretty tough routine, but we as non-boxers can emulate the rigid exercises minus of course the punching bags.

In a boxing gymnasium, one does not find wall inscriptions like “How I lose my weight”. From their daily exercises and physical routines, they know how to lose weight and how to get in shape. If you want, you can get inside an ordinary boxing gym and find its regimented atmosphere. The aura inside is quite different from the usual physical fitness gyms that we enroll in. And in case you want the extreme, there are boxing gyms that allow the use of their punching bags, but of course for a fee. For people who think they are hopeless using different kinds of weight reduction programs, why not get inside a boxing gym to feel the change?

A boxer’s conditioning method on how to get in shape has nothing new in it. There is nothing unique in it except of course for the punching bags. As a general practice, some boxers spend 20 to 30 minutes jogging, another 20 to 30 minutes in stretching, abdominal bending, plus all kinds of flexing routines, and then another 20 to 30 minutes for the military type of regimen such as push-ups, sit-ups, squat jumps, and other forms of sweat-inducing exercises.  Before taking a break, some of them continue with the shadow boxing drill for another half an hour. If one will get used to this routine, he does not have to spend money going to physical fitness gyms. And also there is no need to buy any reference material on “how I lose my weight” that is written by an enterprising author. Indeed, if you just look at it from a very plain and simple perspective, the idea of losing weight and how to get in shape is just about running, stretching, shadow boxing, and sweating everything out as boxers do.
